Meridian worked closely with Robert Jackson Architects to develop the interactive photovoltaic demonstration at this landmark facility. The array sits atop an automatic dual-axis tracker that follows the sun for maximum performance throughout the day. Visitors can override the tracker with a joystick and observe resulting changes in electricity production on a large wattmeter. Another display shows the power production of the array relative to the total electrical load of the building. Westcave is funded in part by LCRA and is open to the public.
