Site for a small vacation cabin would have been severely disrupted by bringing in utility power. This system automatically fills a cistern at 2 gallons per minute, or 650 gallons per day. Gravity then feeds water to the cabin. When the cistern is full, the same solar array provides power to a small battery, which in turn provides power to the cabin for lights, fans, and a radio. |
