Client Quote
"When I began working with the architects on this project, I realized that the scope of the installation was in need of a company with a broader scale of experience as well as a company that had a reputation for professionalism in design, installation and follow-up service. Selecting Meridian was obvious and they certainly lived up to and exceeded all expectations. Being in the solar energy business myself, I see a lot of wannabes – Meridian is at the other end of the spectrum. They are dedicated folks with the client’s best interest at the top of their list. I look forward to further collaborations."

Solar for Public & Non-Profit Organizations
Every capital dollar saved in energy costs with solar power can be redirected for public good.
As overall energy costs continue to rise while the costs to generate solar energy falls, Federal, State, and local government and utilities in Texas have created tremendous financial incentives for organizations to switch to solar power. Solar is simply a good investment for your organization and your community. Beyond the financial motivations, the long-term environmental impact of choosing solar is considerable; as an influential member of your community, you demonstrate leadership and environmental stewardship by making the switch.
Meridian Solar has over a decade of experience working with schools, non-profits, and faith-based organizations to incorporate solar into their buildings. Moreover, with the current substantial public funding and incentives now in place, the time to go solar has never been better.
Solar for Schools
From Austin Community College and Maplewood Elementary in Austin, Texas to Duke University in North Carolina, Meridian Solar has extensive experience working with educational institutions on their solar applications. Meridian Solar has designed and installed numerous solar electric systems on schools, including many through the State Energy Conservation Office’s (SECO) Texas Solar for Schools Program and the Lower Colorado River Authority’s (LCRA) Solar for Schools Program.
For educational institutions, the educational aspect of an installation is as critical as its energy production and the long-term costs savings generated for the institution. For these applications, Meridian Solar can include a custom monitoring system that gathers and records system performance in real-time. This data can be incorporated in a curriculum that teaches students the benefits of harnessing energy sources that are renewable and domestic for the sake of the environment and the nation.
Other Non-profit Work
Meridian Solar has worked with many non-profit and faith-based organizations to help them offset their rising electricity bills while demonstrating environmental leadership and stewardship.
