Working with Meridian
The Meridian Solar Approach
Whether you’re in charge of incorporating a solar installation on your school or other public facility, or lead your own non-profit, you want the transition to solar to be simple and seamless. Our goal is to make your solar power integration as easy as possible. By working with Meridian Solar, you’ll be partnering with a company with in-depth experience and a large base of satisfied clients, including schools, non-profits, and faith-based organizations.
Over the last ten years, we’ve refined and improved our design and installation process until we’re convinced there’s no better way to go solar. Our five proven steps include:
1) Consultation
2) Design
3) Supply
4) Installation
5) Monitoring & Service
1) Consultation
The only way to accurately pre-determine the impact of a solar installation is through a personal, customized analysis.
In our initial consultation, we explain the concepts, terminology, expectations, and budget. After a comprehensive analysis of your site’s mechanical, structural, and electrical systems, we give you a feasibility/cost study of the renewable energy potential of your facility, including recommendations on component placement and aesthetics.
We also identify each and every rebate, credit, tax incentive, and special program for which you are eligible, and we even do the paperwork and follow-up required for you to receive your rebate.

2) Design
The best way to protect your investment in a renewable energy system is to consider the integrity, design and quality of the components involved. Meridian Solar’s experience has validated this approach time and time again. With our in-depth knowledge of system types of all shapes and sizes, Meridian Solar will design a system that’s right for your facility. Our complete design package includes an electrical design, illustrations, array layout, output projection, bill-of-materials, and installation estimates for precise project forecasting. We also handle all interaction with local permit offices to save you the hassle.
Fees for design, engineering, and planning services often are negotiated based on a percentage of project cost and depend on the scope of the project and the degree of specialized engineering required.

3) Supply
As an independent dealer/distributor with direct ties to all major solar suppliers and manufacturers,
Meridian Solar can offer you the widest selection of technologies and products, the best overall system pricing, and comprehensive support services. We’re familiar with the latest cutting-edge technology and the dependable, proven performers from the world's leading photovoltaic companies. Our independence allows us to provide an unbiased analysis of the various products
in the marketplace and provide custom recommendations based on what’s best for your unique installation.

4) Installation
Meridian Solar has been chosen to design and install hundreds of solar energy systems for facilities of all sizes. Installations have ranged from 1kW to over 200kW, including two of the largest operational solar-electric systems in the state of Texas.
Our installations offer maximum performance, the highest regard for electrical safety issues, and a cost-effective use of materials. This is one of the most critical phases of the process, and experience matters. Beware of contractors with little or no training in photovoltaic installation.
Once your system is up and running, we’ll train you in daily performance monitoring, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimum system operation.
The best system is one that operates without problems year after year. That’s how we design our installations, and all of them are backed by a comprehensive five-year system warranty covering parts, workmanship, and repairs.

5) Monitoring & Service
Although renewable energy systems are extremely automated and care-free when installed properly, Meridian Solar provides 24 hour-a-day monitoring to insure system performance at-a-glance and to track important performance data.
If you are not inclined or able to do the minimal maintenance, Meridian Solar offers a service contract to insure systems are kept in top condition and also can review and document systems that are not performing properly.
